To begin your moving journey Mark Ratcliffe will visit your home or business at a time convenient for you and carry out an onsite survey and discuss details of your forthcoming move. Packing requirements, insurance cover for your valuable possessions and house clearance can be discussed and arranged if required. We will provide a fixed quotation for our moving, packing and storage services. Then, on your move day a fully trained and uniformed crew will arrive and lay down floor covers to protect carpets, cover exposed banisters and doors etc. If required, they will pack and move your belongings with care and transport them safely to your new home.
Mark Ratcliffe Moving can provide a full packing service or packing of fragile items only. Should you decide to carry out your own packing prior to move day, we provide flat pack moving boxes, plain paper, bubble wrap, tape etc...all at a minimal cost.
We offer secure storage rooms for customers who need their belongings held between moves. It is managed storage rather than self-storage: a self-storage site rents you four walls and leaves the rest to you, whereas our crew loads, pad-wraps and inventories every item, and your goods are kept in our Croydon crate store at Mill Lane (CR0 4AA) or in an individual steel room at Lower Dicker (BN27 4EL). Various size rooms are available with our most popular size being 75 sq ft which equates to 525 cubic feet / 14.9 cubic metres. We rent this size room at £36 per week including VAT, with £5,000 of cover built into the weekly figure. Your valuable possessions will be stored in a secure, damp free and clean environment, and access is by appointment during depot hours, with a crew member bringing your things out to you.
